Transactional

Firm lawyers have participated in the development, construction, purchase and sale of regional shopping malls, regional shopping centers, office complexes and apartments. The firm represents real estate companies and their agents in a variety of transactions. The firm has rendered extensive services to landlords and tenants in negotiating commercial leases in all types of complexes.
Litigation
Since the lawyers practicing in the real estate department at Johnstone Adams also have extensive litigation experience, the firm has developed a special niche in the representation of clients in real estate related litigation.
The firm has rendered these services in lease litigation, representing both landlord and tenant, litigated foreclosure and possessory actions, generally representing institutional lenders, and bankruptcy matters representing secured lenders. The firm also represents national title insurance companies in the defense of claims and potential claims relating to title insurance policies. As a result of this experience, the firm has been able to participate in zoning, land use litigation, and ad valorem tax proceedings appearing before both regulatory bodies and the court.
