The practice of Johnstone Adams is focused on the representation of management in matters and laws affecting the workforce. The firm has litigated cases in all areas of employment law, including cases under the National Labor Relations Act, Title VII, the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act and cases alleging various state tort claims. The employment litigation practice has also included breach of contract claims and enforcement of covenants not to compete. Our practice includes counseling employers regarding discipline and termination issues concerning workers' compensation claimants, and developing written workers' compensation policies and procedures for employers designed to allow efficient business operations in a manner that avoids adverse ramifications from the workers' compensation statute, FMLA and ADA.
