Attorney David Cherniak Obtains Jury Verdict for $1,942,000 in Litigation in Wisconsin

Johnstone Adams partner David Cherniak, representing International Marine and Industrial Applicators, Inc., obtained a jury verdict in the amount of $1,942,000 against Ameron International. Johnstone Adams presented a unified case with Manitowac Marine Group and its counsel, but a majority of the award will be paid to Johnstone Adams’ client. The case arose out of a cargo tank coatings failure during the construction of an articulated chemical barge. The case was tried in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. Johnstone Adams lawyers Larry Seiter and Rick LaTrace assisted in the preparation of the case, together with legal assistant Tabb Waters.
