Tom Rue Receives Award from U. S. Coast Guard

On May 2, 2008, the U. S. Coast Guard presented the Coast Guard Meritorious Public Service Award to Thomas S. Rue in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the United States Coast Guard as president of The Maritime Law Association of the United States from 2004 to 2006, principally for participating as a key advisor to the Coast Guard’s international fight against terrorism, hijacking, and other unlawful acts at sea.
