Ben H. Harris, Jr. Elected President of the Eleventh Circuit Historical Society

During the Eleventh Circuit Judicial Conference on April 30, 3009, in Birmingham, AL, Ben H. Harris, Jr., former president of the Alabama State Bar, was elected to a two-year term as President of the Eleventh Circuit Historical Society. The Society’s mission is to capture and record the history of the federal courts in the Circuit and foster a public appreciation of the role and impact of the federal court system in the states encompassed by the Eleventh Circuit. Harris will lead a Board of Trustees composed of lawyers and legal scholars who represent the historical interests of the Circuit.
